EIGHT PUMP FIRE IN
    MANCHESTER
The fire started in a two storey unoccupied section at the rear of the mill
which contained debris and propane/butane cylinders. Ignition of the cylinders accelerated the fire to engulf the whole of the two storey section just as we arrived.
The flames quickly spread up the rear of the 3 storey occupied section
and into the roof . Access to the roof was extremely difficult. Crews with hose lines and wearing breathing apparatus entered through the front of the building.  Salvage operations saved the contents of the ground and first floors.
