A three year old sleeping boy had a lucky escape when a mindless vandal threw a firework through an open bedroom window.
Luckily the boys 15 year old sister happend to be in the room looking out of the window watching the fireworks in the night sky. She saw two unsavoury looking characters wearing balaclavas walk by. One of them jumped up and threw the firework through the window. The firework let off a series of explosions igniting a linen basket, video tapes and a television.
The sister quickly grabbed the sleeping boy and escaped.
Four other children and their mother, in other parts of the house, also escaped.
